CONVERSATIONS

Every issue begins with a prompt. Some respond with poetry. Others with paint, film, photography, fiction, essays, or song. Some respond simply by talking.

CONVERSATIONS is a growing series of prompt-led exchanges with artists, writers, musicians, filmmakers, performers, photographers, philosophers, morticians, nuns, taxidermists, circus freaks, scientists, archivists, and other wonderfully difficult-to-categorise people whose lives or work resonate with the theme at hand. Rather than regular promotional interviews, these are slow conversations about ideas: art, memory, making, and the strange territories in between. Like the Collective itself, each begins with a single prompt and follows wherever curiosity leads. We believe conversation is an art form, too.

HOW TO PITCH

Are you a publicist, publisher, record label, gallery, artist or storyteller with work that genuinely resonates with the current prompt? While CONVERSATIONS are often organically outsourced, we occasionally invite a small number of contributors where there is a natural editorial fit. Please email a short introduction, relevant press materials, and why you feel the work aligns with the current prompt to dakota@nowheregirlcollective.com.

Note: Due to volume of pitches received, only those truly aligned with the relevant prompt will be contacted. We seek thoughtful conversations that belong naturally within each issue's editorial theme - not covering releases for the sake of promotion.
